Faith Baseline 3

Faith and Polytheism
Faith and Polytheism

Have you ever wondered about the situation where some people believe in multiple gods? It is called Polytheism, where people worship many Gods. Does having various Gods yield to a universal Faith? Would you call it Faith or a Belief? Is there any difference between Faith and Belief? In Faith Baseline 2, post, we utilized the Omniscient Nature of GOD to expose the fallacy of the Roman Catholic doctrine concerning Faith. Faith must be founded based on the Nature of GOD. In this post, we will use the Omnipotent Nature of GOD to show that we can Baseline Faith, thus universal.

In our times, there are still many whose beliefs fall into Polytheism. This post does not intend to offend but to show that Faith can be baseline, and doing so would reveal incompatibility with a True Faith. Again, despite that unavoidable situation, it is not the intention to hurt or offend anyone under Polytheism, but to emphasize how the Nature of GOD plays a crucial role in matters concerning Faith. In Polytheism, each god has a power, specialization, domain, or authority that is not shared with other gods. There are gods for the heavens, land, sea, and underworld. There are also specializations, e.g, fertility, beauty, health, etc. What is the issue with having multiple gods concerning Faith?

Before answering the above question, let us first differentiate Faith and Belief. Faith is our direct relationship with GOD, and this relationship requires trust, commitment, and loyalty to GOD. Faith requires Belief, but not all Belief translates to Faith. For example, we are required to believe in one GOD and that belief, along with the alignment of the Nature of GOD, is Faith. On the opposite side, if someone claim that his belief is that pigs have wings and can fly, he is entitled to his belief, but it does not follow that it is Faith because a Belief must align with the Truth in connection with our relationship to GOD for it to become Faith. Thus, the latter is only a Belief and not Faith. In Faith, that belief must be connected with our relationship with GOD and His Nature, which again involves trust, commitment, and loyalty.

Let us now turn our attention to Baselining Faith. In Polytheism, most of their gods have power. GOD is Omnipotent, meaning GOD has absolute power, sovereignty, and authority. A Deity is a supernatural being with supernatural power, worshipped or revered in Polytheism. The question is, is a Deity a GOD? At this point, the importance of Baselining Faith and understanding the nature of GOD emerges. A GOD has absolute power, and a Deity may have the power over the land, the other Deity may have the power over the sea or the underworld, but among these Deities, which one has the Absolute Power? One Deity may stand above all because of its power defeating other powers, but that is not absolute because that Deity does not have the power that other Deities have.

Some may claim that they have one GOD who has the absolute authority over other gods in Polytheism, but that will end up with those other gods falling into a Deity position because those other gods lack the absolute power, authority and sovereignty. This leads to a hierarchy where a single GOD reigns supreme, and the others are reduced to deities. Simply put, Baselining Polytheistic Faith results in a monotheistic structure, as seen in Roman Catholicism, having one GOD above all, with saints viewed as deities granting miracles. Note that I whistleblow against the Roman Catholic false doctrines with good intentions to redirect the worship and praise to the one True GOD and save them from the fallacy of their doctrines. We are using only the Omnipotent Nature of GOD to establish a Baseline, leading to a unified and universal Faith.

The next question is: Does worshipping a deity qualify as true faith? The answer is no. It is not Faith, but it’s a Belief where everyone has the right to what they believe in. Faith is our direct relationship with GOD and not with a Deity. We can say that they have a Belief in some Deity, and again, it’s their right to believe what they believe. It is where the pattern response from my experience discussing loopholes of the Roman Catholic religion. They would claim that it’s their Faith, so we do not argue with them.It is not a valid excuse, and it’s not Faith because Faith aligns with the Truth of the Nature of GOD, since Faith is our direct relationship with GOD.

Here is a specific case to illustrate Faith versus Belief. During the time of Galileo Galilei, they would argue that the Sun rotates around the Earth. When Galileo presented solid evidence showing the fallacy of their doctrine, the scapegoat of some is that it is their Faith and that Galileo should respect their Faith. Can you call it Faith? It is not Faith but a Belief because a Belief can be True or False, but you have a right to what you believe, but it can never be called Fairy because Faith must align with the Truth, especially with the Nature of GOD. Using Faith as a scapegoat or alibi for respect is not a valid way and not the right action because it is used by many to avoid accepting the Truth that contradicts what they stand for. They use Faith as a shield to avoid confronting the Truth. If it does not align with the Truth, then it’s not Faith, but only a Belief, and a Belief does not automatically imply Faith.

We have demonstrated that we can Baseline Faith using the Nature of GOD, paving a way to a unified and truly universal Faith. We also proved that it is not right to use the difference in Faith as an alibi to avoid the Truth and avoid confronting the fallacy of their doctrine. With the Nature of GOD, it provides us clarity of the Truth and gives us the ability to see the fallacy of the Roman Catholic doctrines. Some may not see it, but if you only see the value of the Nature of GOD under my lens, then you will understand that the Nature of GOD will guide us to the One True Love for GOD. The Nature of GOD is the Solid Foundation of Faith that is truly universal as depicted in the Paradigm of Faith and its 3 Principles. May GOD bless you for reading and absorbing the lessons in this post.
