Anointing is an essential topic that we should cover because Christ means the “anointed one.” Why is Jesus not considered officially anointed, and why is the anointing oil or process mentioned in the New Testament invalid to anoint the real Christ/Messiah? We will discuss this topic in this post.

There is only one anointing oil that GOD considered sacred which is the anointing oil prepared by Moses as reflected in Exodus 30:31. You can find the details of this topic under Section 2.10.1 Function of Anointment for the Messiah and Section 2.10.6 Jesus was not officially anointed in the FREE book Save Our Souls which you can download . Here is the actual scripture:

Exodus 30:31 (JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh 2nd Edition)
And speak to the Israelite people, as follows: This shall be an anointing oil sacred to Me throughout the ages.

It is crystal clear that GOD had foreseen the future (throughout the ages). He never mentioned any Holy Water or Holy Spirit as the replacement. Did GOD mention replacing the sacred anointing oil prepared by Moses in the future? No! Have you seen any comments “Until further notice” or “Subject for future changes”? None. Have you seen “comma Holy Spirit” or “comma Holy Water”? None. It is only the anointing oil prepared by Moses that GOD considers sacred, as its name reflects “anointing” oil, which was used to anoint the Kings, the High Priest, and to anoint the future Christ/Messiah.

The problem is that this “Official” sacred anointing oil was hidden since the time of King Josiah (along with the Ark of Covenant) before the destruction of the First Temple (Beit Hamikdash in Hebrew). In short, Jesus was never anointed as Christ because the “Official” anointing oil was hidden in his lifetime. See the Oral Torah below that their doctrtine bypassed:

Talmud Kereitot 5b
16...And was there anointing oil in the days of Jehoahaz? But isn’t it taught in a baraita (Tosefta, Yoma 2:15) that from when the Ark was sequestered, along with it was sequestered the jar of manna that was next to it (see Exodus 16:33), and the flask of the anointing oil, and Aaron’s staff 17with its almonds and blossoms (see Numbers 17:23). The baraita continues: And also sequestered with the Ark was the chest that the Philistines sent as a gift to the God of Israel after they captured the Ark and were stricken by several plagues, as it is stated: “And put the jewels of gold that you return to Him for a guilt offering, in a coffer by its side, and send it away that it may go” (I Samuel 6:8). And who sequestered the Ark? Josiah, king of Judah, sequestered it...

So their false doctrine diverted it into the Holy Spirit, as shown below:

Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2nd Edition (Vatican City: Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 2019), p. 110
Jesus’ messianic consecration reveals his divine mission, “for the name ‘Christ’ implies ‘he who anointed,’ ‘he who was anointed.’ The one who anointed is the Father, the one who was anointed is the Son, and he was anointed with the Holy Spirit who is the anointing.

Remember that GOD said:

Psalms 89:35 (JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh 2nd Edition)
I will not violate My covenant, or change what I have uttered.

Clearly, their catechism violated what GOD has stated, and do not forget that GOD can see the future (i.e., even before GOD instructed Moses to create the anointing oil). Now, you will see my point that those innocent Christians are just blind-sided with their false doctrine. They even defend the false doctrine as reflected in “The Dead Candidate Analogy,” where the members only knew what was inside the box of their party list and closed their eyes outside the box. Fellow Christians, in my personal experience, very few know how to listen and understand, and it is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Please let us learn from history (i.e., at the time of Galileo Galilei) because what I’m seeing, at present, is that History repeats itself.

There are four gospels in the New Testament that speak about the anointing of Jesus. Matthew 26:6-13 speaks about costly ointment (again, the anointing oil prepared by Moses is not “costly” because it is not for sale). Mark 14:3-9, again, speaks of another costly ointment. Luke 7:36-50 speaks about a woman who anoints the feet of Jesus with ointment. John 12:1-8 speaks about Mary putting “costly” perfume to anoint Jesus’ feet (the anointing oil prepred by Moses is not a perfume). The divinity and sacredness of the anointment process got lost because anyone can anoint anybody. Anointing the “real” Christ/Messiah requires a High Priest or Officials in Judaism, and using that intended official anointing oil prepared by Moses (not just any other costly materials). For details, please read Save Our Souls Section 2.10.6 Jesus was Not officially anointed.

If you argue that Jesus is GOD and He can decide whatever he wants, so being anointed is needed by Jesus to provide salvation. Let us not forget that anointing requires the elevation of authority and sovereignty, meaning GOD does not need anointing to provide salvation. Is the anointing process the only thing that is missing for Jesus? What else is missing in Jesus that he needs to provide salvation? Let us cover this topic on The Real Christ 4 (Coming Soon).
